Alliance of Big Tech

When you hear the Alliance of Big Tech, a few names come to mind. And sure the capital ‘A’ alliance might not be real. But it isn’t completely fake either. Those big names exist and they’re aligned on one thing: Gain as much access to you as possible.

Your data? Check. Your privacy? Check. Even access to your friends? Check. One small tick and they have it all. Sure, you get a digital landscape that feels more personalized than ever. But at what cost? A waning attention span? Anxiety-inducing notifications? Constantly comparing yourself to others? And never actually being able to log off?

We made this campaign for the Alliance of Big Tech to highlight the ways in which the Light Phone is the antithesis of Big Tech. The Light Phone does not collect any of your data, the Light Phone is not interested in how much time you spend with it - it is a tool that serves you, not the other way around.

It took the form of wheat pastes around New York, a website, video installations and shirts.
