# Light x pgLang "just a phone"

November 2023

We are humbled to announce a limited edition collaboration with Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free's [pgLang](https://pg-lang.com/) & Light.

Today pgLang released [250 exclusive Light Phone IIs](https://pg-lang.com/product/lightphone).

The pgLang team resonated with the ethos of going light, understanding how smartphones can seriously impact one's ability to harness their full creative potential.

These pgLang Light Phones have a 'Language' tool unique to these 250 phones. Ask the phone a question, shake it, and an answer is revealed.

It was amazing to see the coverage that our collaboration received, from [Pitchfork](https://pitchfork.com/news/kendrick-lamar-pglang-debuts-new-phone/), [Billboard](https://www.billboard.com/music/rb-hip-hop/kendrick-lamar-pglang-light-phone-1235458259/) to [GQ](https://www.gq.com/story/kendrick-lamar-just-dropped-a-sleek-anti-smart-phone) and [Hypebeast](https://hypebeast.com/2023/10/kendrick-lamar-pg-lang-light-smartphone-collaboration).

The phones sold out right away.

We also pasted posters around Brooklyn.
